ACADEMIC WORK

Case studies and other projects I have completed while at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

FARE FREE PUBLIC TRANSIT

This case study analyzes the success of free public transit in Tallinn, Estonia.  As the only national capital that provides this amenity, the city is hailed as a center of transportation innovation.  However, investigating the motivations behind the elimination of fares points to problems of operations and funding.

BIKE SHARE IN CHAPEL HILL

A semester-long project culminates in a proposal for the town of Chapel Hill to adopt a bike share to improve residential mobility, environmental health, and spirit of fun.  This project analyzes the current bike share program on UNC's campus, and creates a scenario where this program would be expanded throughout town.
